About Wattabill

An energy label gives you kilowatt-hours. Most of us want to know what that means for the electricity bill, so Wattabill works it out in euros for your country.

  • 57,878 models on the market
  • 1,377 brands
  • 27 countries with electricity prices

Why we built it

Two TVs with the same price can cost very different amounts to run, and electricity costs much more in some countries than in others. Shops rarely tell you any of this.

Household electricity costs €0.4042 per kWh in Ireland and €0.1139 in Hungary, so the same TV costs 3.5 times as much to run in one country as in the other. Electricity prices

How it works

  1. Official label data

Every model registered in EPREL, the European Commission’s energy-label database, with its energy class and consumption.

  2. Local electricity prices

Household prices for all 27 EU countries from Eurostat, updated twice a year.

  3. Your usage

Pick your country and how much you use the appliance, and the cost per year and over 10 years updates straight away.

Independent

Wattabill has no ties to the European Commission, the EU or any manufacturer. No brand pays to be listed or ranked; the order comes from the data alone. We don’t sell anything. If we add shop links one day, we’ll mark them clearly, and they won’t change the order.

Who runs Wattabill

Wattabill is run by Evosky IT Sia.
